The Process
We are here to help you. We have first-hand experience with the stresses associated with impaired fertility and fertility treatments and are sensitive to your needs. The process for egg donor recipients is outlined below for your convenience. Please call for further information and support.

1. E-mail our program or call our office at 503.243.7760. Our staff is expertly trained to provide you with precise details surrounding our egg donor recipients program, the various categories of our exceptional donors, and all related fees.

2. Complete a 2-page egg donor recipient’s profile and return it to our office. Please give us ample information about yourself and your spouse or partner so that we can help you make the best possible match for you as egg donor recipients.

3. Once your egg donor recipient’s profile is received at our office, you can request additional information about particular donors, including pictures if available. If necessary, at your request, we will perform a donor search when specific cultural or genetic traits are desired.

4. When you have selected a particular donor, our office will contact her to make sure she meets your timeline and is available to travel to your designated clinic. If she is unwilling to travel, our agency can provide you with information regarding fertility centers near where the donor lives that may be able to accept you as patients.  Typically, donors are held for 90 days. If you need to hold your donor for a longer period of time before you begin your cycle, EDI charges the recipient couple $1250 per month for each extra month the donor is held.

5. At this point you, the egg donor recipient will need to sign a service agreement contract with our agency that outlines the costs involved. Reservation of your donor and cycle is contingent upon receipt of the signed agreement, and payment of the agency fee, the donor compensation fee, the donor insurance fee, and the donor legal counsel fee. More information about the fees involved in this process is available by calling our office or here

6. Medical and psychological screening of the donor will be completed. Medical screening will be coordinated at the fertility center of your choice.

7. We do require that all recipient parents pay all monies due to the agency, and have all legal contracts in place at least 7 days before their selected donor begins any of her injectable medication for her cycle.

8.We require that all recipients have a contract between the recipient and the donor that has been drafted by outside legal counsel. This is paid for by the recipient directly to the attorney. Fees can range from $500 - $750. We refer our clients to Sandra Hodgson, Attorney at Law, 503.238.9720. This contract, signed by the recipient and the donor, must be received by EDI before the recipient or the donor can start her medications.

We are ready to provide you with exceptional service to make this process a smooth and joyful one.
